All of Disney Cruise Line's ships are officially registered in Nassau, Bahamas.[1] Disney Magic began operation July 30, 1998.[2] Disney Wonder began operation on August and were both built at Fincantieri shipyard, Italy. These approximately ton (the measurement of the two differ slightly) ships are 964 ft (294 m) long and 106 ft (32 m) wide. As an example, the Magic (smaller) and Dream (larger) both have three major restaurants, a night club district, kids clubs, pools, waterslides, a water ride, a spa, and live shows — just with differences in size, layout, and theming. I do have a shorter list of more realistic upgrades I'd love to see on Disney Magic in the coming years. The unexpected upside of this was that I did not feel like I was missing out by ditching the bars for my room, where I could enjoy a glass of wine on my balcony. Once your kiddo turns 11 (or 10 with parent permission and enough space), they can start visiting Edge, which has a submarine-under-the-sea look on Disney Magic.
